Jets | Baker fined $5,000
Reports stated New York Jets TE Chris Baker has been fined $5,000 by the league for unnecessary roughness during the week 7 game vs. Detroit. A league source stated Chris Baker was fined because "specifically, after the play was over, he struck his opponent late."

No reversal on Baker "Touchdown"
CLEVELAND -- Upon further review, perhaps the New York Jets aren't as far ahead of dire preseason predictions as was previously thought. Then again, perhaps a closer replay inspection of the final Chad Pennington pass, on which tight end Chris Baker made an amazing one-handed grab in the end zone and appeared to be pushed out of bounds on a fourth-down play called incomplete, would have at least compensated for the earlier inconsistencies.
